MOU between American Go Association -TYGEM

On 19th of December, the signing ceremony of MOU between TONGYANG Online(TYGEM) and American Go Association(AGA) was held in Seoul, Korea. In the signing ceremony, TONGYANG Online has announced that TONGYANG Online will support American Go Association with the financial and technical support, in order to help AGA certify professional go players in the United States. In return for the support of TONGYANG Online, AGA will grant the exclusive right to broadcast live the tournament and related contents to TONGYANG Online.
TONGYANG Online has been operating its go server TYGEM in many Asian countries, and now it has set its sight on English speaking countries for globalization of go. TONGYANG Online has been expanding its global go business with the launch of its English version of go server in March and signing MOU with AGA in December this year.

Jeong In-Soo, the chief executive officer of TONGYANG Online, said in the ceremony, "It¡¯s an honor for TONGYANG Online to have this chance to work with AGA. I sincerely hope TONGYANG Online and AGA lead the globalization through cooperation."
AGA also has great expectations for this MOU. It is believed that there are one and half million of go players in the United States, and that about fifty to seventy go tournaments take place in all over the countries every year. But despite of the United State¡¯s high interest of go, it¡¯s not easy to raise go culture to the next level because of having no pro-go system like Korea, Japan, China and Taiwan. So AGA expects this MOU will play a great role to tackle all the obstacles.
Andrew Okun, the chairman of the board of AGA, awarded AGA's plaque of appreciation to TONGYANG Online saying that "I really appreciate of TONGYANG Online for the tournament. I expect this MOU will boost development of go in the United States and get go more popular across the world."
