Introduction of Tournament

Requirements

  • US and Canadian Citizens only
  • Amateur players only
  • Must join TYGEMGO
  • Up to 6dan players are required to play more than 20 rated games on TYGEMGO server before the tournament starts.

All applicants must be members of the American Go Association or the Canadian Go Association to participate in this tournament. Players who are not yet AGA members can join the AGA through TYGEMGO for a promotional $15 rate!

Tournament format

Seed Elected by offline tournament and recommendations by AGA and CGA
Tournament Round 1 - Single elimination (players 5D and below according to TYGEMGO rank)
Round 2 - Double elimination(eligible survivors of Round 1 + players 6D and over according to TYGEMGO rank)
Round 3 - Double elimination(eligible survivors of Round 1,2 + pre-seeded players)
